The speed of dark?

Petro Pretorius [23 October 2008] -

One of my very smart & witty friends asked: “If the speed of light 1000,000 km/s, what is the speed of dark?” I gave him a very motherly answer...

Now for any new mother the darkest of dark is the crying of your baby, the first couple of days you are so afraid you miss the yelps that you wake at anything; then like one of my friends told me after 10 days of little to no sleep, you are able to sleep anywhere and any time. You also get accustomed to your baby's cry so you don't wake for anything other than that.

So the answer to his very intelligent question as the father of a newborn is the speed of dark is the frequency of a baby's cry especially if it is your baby.

The speed of dark is also a flexible entity as your child get older it changes and morphs as your fears for your child changes and morphs. Although by the time your child is a teenager you are at your darkest hour, where you can only hope and pray that the groundwork you have done was solid enough to allow your precious child to stay the course.

The speed of dark is variable and adjust and even becomes non-existent as your child grows and flourishes,  but the thing is that it is always there; in the back of your mind; waiting for the time that you will worry and fret; cry and be in despair. Be aware of the speed of dark; but don't let it rule your life or the way in which you rear your children.

Go well and go in the light :-)

PS - for those of you who were wondering the actual speed of light is: 299 792 458 m/s

PPS - My husband also tells me to tell you that this is in a vacuum as it will change according to the medium through which it travels.
