Well as my first week of stay at home mother was a bit hectic, and I ended with resolutions to take the proverbial bull by the horns, I also decided to up the ante - on Monday I added a rabbit to the equation.
I think it was Monday :-) Needless to mention that my days are now even more jam packed, I am now chasing after Mia chasing the rabbit, which is running for it's dear life. I am happy to say that no animals were killed or hurt in the keeping busy of my loving daughter; she only managed to catch it twice thus far, and only managed to hang onto it for a couple of seconds. We have not introduced the poor new addition to our mad house to the other two partners of our household, as I suspect that a couple of the neighbour cats fell silent prey to our two nature loving Staffies.
I only suspect; and I have no solid proof for this statement; that these two might pose more of a problem to our latest addition than Mia does, so I merrily chase away. As if that is not enough for me as a happy camper I also added some consultation work, which kept me in a meeting for the whole day, and Mia's day divided between grandparents, her aunt and cousin (thanking them all dearly).
It has been a busy week thus far to say the least, but I also think that I have managed better than the previous one (thus far). I thrive on stress and juggle in my middle name. I have also managed to bake the first batch of cookies for my Christmas stash, which I don't think is going to see the week out, but I am an optimist. This did provide the rabbit some reprieve from Mia's attentions as she was merrily kneeing away at the dough. Most of this did end up outside the bowl but I am however happy to report that our first attempt at cookie baking were a success and I will be continuing along these lines in the coming weeks.
Tomorrow we will be going to Mia's crèche for an open day and the afternoon will be spend with one of the neighbours. Busy, busy, busy... and the weekend already winking towards me. So I am optimistic and ready for action; but first I need some rest...
