The following hoax email is being circulated:
A man came over and offered his services as a painter to a lady who was buying petrol at a filling station. He gave her his "complimentary card". She said "No", but after some persuasion, she accepted his card out of kindness and got in her car.
The man then got into a car driven by another gentleman..
As the lady left the service station, she saw the men following her out of the station at the same time. After driving a short distance, she started feeling dizzy and could not catch her breath. She tried to open the window and realized that her hand had a sweet smelling odour. This was the same hand she used to accept the card from the gentleman at the Petrol station. She then noticed the men were trailing her. Their car was immediately behind her and she knew she had to do something at that moment. She drove into the first turning on her right and it was a busy road. She began to honk her horn repeatedly, non- stop and started shouting for help. She stopped her car and continued horning and within a few minutes, her car was surrounded by a crowd. On seeing the situation, the men drove away, but the lady still felt bad for several minutes. She was able to tell the crowd her husband's GSM phone number and somebody in the crowd called him. He arrived the scene and took her to a high brow hospital for treatment. she was discharged after 48 hours.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Apparently, there was a substance on the card that could have seriously injured her. This drug is called 'BURUNDANGA' and it is used by CRIMINALS who wish to incapacitate a victim in order to steal, kill or take advantage of women (RAPE).
This drug is 4times more dangerous than the date rape drug and it is transferable on simple cards and papers. So take heed and make sure you don't accept cards at any given time (when you are alone) from STRANGERS - in the streets, markets, filling stations etc. This applies to those making house calls and slipping you a card when they offer their services.
Don't be caught unawares.
Be vigilant
Be bold and say NO when you are not convinced.
Don’t be emotional when dealing with strangers.
Don’t be ashamed to scream and shout on top of your
voice when you are in danger.
Don’t keep late nights.
Please send this email alert to all your friends both MALE & FEMALE.
WHATEVER YOU DO COUNTS.
According to UrbanLegends.com this is mostly untrue. The drug exist but is mainly used in South Ameria.
The amount of the drug required to incapacitate a victim would not fit on a business card the drug is odourless and is mixed in victim's drink mainly. Similar to other date rape drugs. The drug comes from Columbia and there has been no documented use of it outside South America.
