Mom's UIF Assist

[20 October 2008] - Marie started to assist friends and people that worked with her to claim their UIF, within month's the word spread and people from all over South Africa started to phone her for assistance. As they say the best kind of advertisement is "word-of-mouth".

She realised their was a need for a professional service, that could assist new and expecting moms in claiming UIF and Mom's UIF Assist CC was born.

Petro Pretorius [23 August 2008] - When we were doing out antenatal classes there was one of the mothers in our group that were terrorised and victimised by her employer for being pregnant. We were about 7-8 months pregnant at that stage and he was making life very difficult with statements such as your pregnancy was not part of my staff-planning, and neither was it planned by you so why did you not get an abortion? She obviously was heartbroken and distressed at him being so unfriendly [euphemism for being an complete idiot].

Claiming UIF

Petro Pretorius [23 August 2008] - You can claim for from the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) for a maximum period of 17 weeks. Mothers who miscarry in the third trimester or give birth to a stillborn baby can claim for six weeks.
